Notes:
The way this one came together was pretty interesting. As was the norm; I would write and record the music on the 4-track, and then give Tracey a cassette. Sometimes I might have a few ideas of what to do with it, but usually, I’d just say, “This is the verse, this is the chorus, etc., and then she’d do her magic.
In this case, I told her that and she said, “No, I think this should be the verse, and this should be the chorus.” As usual; she was right.
Turns out those lyrics are highly relevant with what we go through every day; but that’s a story for another song.
Salty
Verse
Right from the start, we’ve never been apart
We always wanted it that way
But we know, things never stay the same
We knew they’d change, change, change, someday
Chorus
Will you meet me on the other side”
Can you meet me when we’ve both died?
Will you meet me on the other side of time, time, time?
Verse
I don’t want to think about, our reality
I don’t want to dream about our destiny
Can’t picture living my life without you
But when that day comes, can ya, can ya,Â
Oh you’ve got to tell me what to do
Chorus
Will you meet me on the other side”
Can you meet me when we’ve both died?
Will you meet me on the other side of time, time, time?
